- What is RTMP?
RTMP is a protocol that provides smooth, high-performance transmission of video, audio, and other data across the internet. Most live streaming platforms support RTMP streaming, including Omlet Arcade.
- How can I use RTMP to stream to third-party platforms?
Omlet already supports easy streaming to YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch. If you’d like to stream to another platform, you can do so by copying the platform’s RTMP link into Omlet.
Step 1. Tap the orange + button at the bottom of the Omlet home page and select Go Live
Step 2. Select Custom Server on the next screen.
Step 3. Set your RTMP URL and stream key. Set a nickname so it’s easy to find your platform settings next time!
Step 4. After choosing your stream platforms and completing setup, tap Next to continue to the Stream Settings screen. Here, you’ll be able to fill out your stream info, including the stream title and description.
- How do I find my RTMP URL and stream key?
Most streaming platforms will list this information in your stream setup flow or in stream settings.
Take Mixer as an example. Navigate to Mixer’s Broadcast Dashboard. Click Stream Setup, then Other Software. Copy your RTMP link and stream key.
